I came across you by sheer chance
And found we were the same
I took it slow and just stayed friends
I played a honest game

I came to like you more than much
And wondered what you felt
Still took it slow but stayed in touch
The waiting was a hell

Then all turned bright and heaven came
You were willing to admit
I asked you if you felt the same
And you said that you did

We shared a few days through the night
They were nothing less than bliss
But then you just ran out of time
Your love I had to miss

With patience but a dying heart
I stayed for weeks on end
The wait was cruel the wait was hard
But I could understand

The suffering made me depressed
I was so glade when you came back
But there was no more treasure chest
Our love had fade to black

I tried to bring the flame alive
But it had long been gone
I still wish you by my side
But something was just wrong

Then you told me that you had cried
Your heart had just as mine
Turned to black every night
So slowly over time

You said that you no longer felt
The love that you once did
I know just what kind of a hell
Had slowly pulled you in

I tried to be there as a friend
I had recovered from the same
But I didn’t really understand
I was the one to blame

I made a choice I hated from the very start
But I could not see her sad
So I made her rip me from her heart
From that point I fealt so dead

I made her break all ties with me
Just a game of fate so cruel
We really weren’t meant to be
I’m so In love with you
